This course is to prepare the owner as well as their dog or puppy the basic techniques of Canine Obedience. This course is very important because an obedient dog is a safe dog! Safety of the dog is very important as well as the safety of the owner. The duration of this course is 6 weeks. Topics covered in this course are:

Basic Canine Good Citizen Prep Course

This course is designed to help AKC dogs of all breeds achieve the first step in Canine Obedience. This course will help readily prepare your dog for the test givien to pass the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluation. Duration of this course is dependant upon the dog. Topics covered in this course:

Accepting a friendly stranger
Sitting politely for petting
Appearance and grooming
Out for a walk (walking on a loose lead)
Walking through a crowd
Sit and down on command and Staying in place
Coming when called
Reaction to another dog
Reaction to distraction
Supervised separation
